Join Laguna Design Center on Tuesday, March 20th from 9 AM – 5PM for a day of design, just for designers! Come visit Witford and Blake House to say hello… We always have new items on the floor!

Featuring keynote presentations by JUAN MONTOYA and ROGER THOMAS, and unique showroom events planned throughout the day.

Doors open at 9 AM. Registration Required. Café Neff will be open at 8 AM for coffee and breakfast. Lunch service will begin at 11 AM. Stop by the Visitor Center for coffee and light refreshments from 9 AM to 10 AM.

Juan Montoya will be presenting on “Custom Tailored Spaces” at 2:00 PM in the Center Court. His work is always on the cutting edge, Juan Montoya’s work exudes refinement and simplicity. Each of his designs features a juxtaposition of textures, colors, and volumes; an attention to scale, lighting, and spatial qualities; and objects that reflect an interest in a variety of cultures.

Montoya is not wedded to a particular style or period. He believes the careful placement of objects can, and should, enhance a room’s space and scale. In this presentation, Montoya will walk designers through four of his never before published projects. Set in varied locales across the world, he will discuss how important it is to have the culture and beauty of the region influence the design and materials used. With each project, he will discuss his inspiration, process and philosophy in designing homes.

Roger Thomas will be presenting on “Luxury Design without Limits” at 10:00 AM at the Center Court.

Experience 5-Star design through the eyes of the award winning designer Roger Thomas, the creative genius behind the world famous Wynn hotels in Las Vegas and Macau. Roger has the self described distinction of being the only designer “that can over spend an unlimited budget.” His designs and over-the-top luxury have mesmerized the world and have taken interior design to new heights. A Hospitality Design Platinum Circle member and an Architectural Digest’s Top 100 designers, travel with Roger though the creative process and execution of some of the world’s finest interiors.

WITFORD Pieces at Laguna Beach Home by Thurston Boyd Interior Design

Beautiful Laguna Beach home designed by Thurston Boyd Interior Design used pieces from WITFORD. A few pieces were the Julian Chichester Twig Table next to the sofa, the lamp on the table is from Charlie West, the green striped chairs by the fireplace are from LEE, the dining chars are also LEE, the painting over the stairs is Mimi Bates and lastly the stump and wood sphere are from WITFORD.

Handmade New Year’s Eve Poppers

Time sure does fly when you’re having fun!  Another year has passed and Witford has gone through some great changes…. moving showroom locations, technology upgrades, LA expansion and new branding.  Witford is looking forward to 2012 with open arms and looking forward to servicing all our loyal designers.

For this past New Year’s eve we took the advice of Kayla Kitts from HGTV (she posts in entertainment and homemade). She posts about the classic party poppers, how to make them and how they can be a fun and chic favor idea. We made them a couple days ago and she is right… they were easy to make and are just as festive on the outside as they are on the inside.

We used recycled gift-wrap tubing, filled it with cellophane-wrapped chocolates, decorated with ribbon and colored paper. We labeled them by numbers and had our friends draw numbers from a hat.
