Every dog has its day, that’s why the San Francisco Design Center’s Paw Parade means a few things: doggie divas, puppy swagger and a mean furry four-legged strut that won’t quit. Move over Naomi, these sassy pooches have a supermodel complex that’ll make you want to hang up your stilettos for good. Catwalk….pfff, more like dogstrut.

The San Francisco Design Center is hosting the first annual Paw Parade, a doggie runway fashion show benefiting Canine Companions for Independence. The pups’ ensembles will be created with exquisite fabric from SFDC’s very own fabric showrooms as they take to the runway in top dog style. Co-sponsored by The Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco and 7×7 Magazine, join us for a fun-filled evening complete with cocktails, edibles and a live auction.

The Paw Parade benefits Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of children and adults with disabilities by providing highly-trained assistance dogs and ongoing support free of charge. Opening doors, picking up dropped items, and offering unconditional love are just a few of the tasks these dogs provide on the path to independence.

AIA San Francisco Launches Architecture and the City Festival

This September, the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Architects will take over the town for the eighth year in a row with its annual Architecture and the City Festival—30 days of guided tours, family events, and other design-oriented functions to take place in various locales around the City by the Bay.
